For many of us summer is the time of year to find a moment of rest, a way of recharging our mental and physical selves. The benefits of these moments are the sparks of creativity and inspiration that (may) come to us. In this newsletter we want to share who has inspired us and be a support of inspiration for you or someone you may know.
A source of inspiration
If you’ve been following our Instagram stories you may have seen us sharing about the Associação Nuno Sobral. Nuno Sobral is the owner of a Santos neighbourhood restaurant “Porão de Santos” who was left paralysed from the waist down after a road accident. This life changing situation didn’t take away his positive spirit. Instead, he saw an opportunity for him and others in similar situations. He has taken it upon himself to keep as fit as possible and in doing so seek ways of adapting sports, supporting and inspiring other paraplegics that it is still possible to keep fit. We are super excited to have supported him and his team in their recent participation of the Portugal 281 ultramarathon that took place over four days (20-23 July). You can check out his story via Instagram.
Supporting inspiration
We are dreamers. We dream big, maybe sometimes too big. But what would be a life if you didn’t have dreams? Along side having dreams we also need encouragement to give these dreams a go. With our years of experience in organising events at Mila’s, let us support you in bringing your supper club dream to life. Whether you know exactly what you want to create or want to talk through and explore the possibilities, we’d love to hear from you and see how we could help make your dream happen. Check out the supper clubs we’ve been delighted to support (here, here, here and here). And if this sounds like something you’d like to explore, send us an email (chef@milalisbon.com). Dipping your toe into new adventures isn’t so frightening when you have the right support around you.
